The official opening and ribbon cutting of our Learning Centre by the Mayor of Elmbridge, Cllr. Mike Bennison, took place on Friday 24 January at Wyvenhoe.
The Mayor said that he was delighted to open the Learning Centre for our RDA groups – his chosen charity for the Mayoral year. Huge thanks go to the Berkeley Foundation who donated the portacabin, instigated by Adrian Brown, Managing Director of Berkeley Strategic Land Ltd who attended the opening.
Another huge thank you to Garry Milner, who was also present, for the generous contribution towards the flooring made by Milners.
The children were very excited and, after demonstrating their riding skills, lined up for photographs. The Learning Centre will provide a valuable resource and a warm area for the children to wait for their riding sessions.
The Mayor said:
It was a wonderful occasion. I am so pleased that we have been able to provide this new facility during my Mayoral year and I would like to thank The Berkeley Foundation for their fantastic support and Milner’s Carpets for their contribution. This will offer a huge benefit to all the young people who take part in the riding as they will no longer have to wait in the cold for their sessions. I am very proud to be involved with the RDA.
