Sixth formers from Woodlands School raised £92 for Leatherhead Riding for the Disabled by making and selling horsey gifts. They had spent the Spring term at school producing cards, bookmarks, gift tags, badges and fridge magnets, decorating them with horsey pictures. They booked stalls at the Swan Centre in Leatherhead and the Ashley Centre in Epsom, selling lots of gifts and raising awareness about the work of the RDA.
On Tuesday they visited one of our sessions at Wyvenhoe, where younger pupils from Woodlands School ride every week, and handed over their cheque. The teenagers enjoyed watching the young children riding and were then introduced to the ponies and had a tour of the stables.
We were impressed and delighted by the hard work put in by the teenagers and it was wonderful to see some familiar faces amongst them!
